It’s your buddy Darren Manser, a.k.a. @BooBoojojo, and I’m super excited to dive into this weekend’s 2025 Week 3 Preseason action.

I know the NFL preseason can be a bit like a choose-your-own-adventure book, but I’ve got your back. If you’re an NFL Premium or All-In subscriber, join me over in the subscriber Discord’s #nfl-dfs channel a couple of hours before kickoff for some good ol’ fashioned Q&A. Trust me, that’s where the magic happens.
QUARTERBACKS
JAXSON DART | Giants vs. Patriots | Giants -6.5 | O/U: 38.5
Yes, I’m bringing Jaxson Dart back into the mix — and no, I’m not sorry about it. In fact, I’m dangerously close to nominating him as my early regular-season sleeper… once he gets on the field. In the preseason, he has shown swagger, made sharp decisions, can run, and looks like a future franchise QB for New York. Honestly, he gives off major Bo Nix vibes (remember how I couldn’t stop writing him up last year?). I expect him to get a nice chunk of playing time in front of the home crowd, and I can’t wait to see him keep pushing Russell Wilson for that starting job.
EASTON STICK | Falcons vs. Cowboys | Cowboys -2.5 | O/U: 36.5
We’ve got ourselves a QB shortage in Atlanta this week - no Penix, no Cousins, no Emery Jones (concussion). The Falcons even had to sign Ben DiNucci just to have a warm body. That means Easton Stick could be in line for a full game of action, and that’s DFS gold. He’s mobile, he’s scrappy, and most importantly, he has volume. Sometimes it really is that simple: full game + rushing upside = “yes please.” If Stick plays four quarters, you could be sticking it to the field with this play.
STETSON BENNETT | Rams vs. Browns | Browns -7 | O/U:39.5
Okay, so Stetson Bennett looked like a Preseason Pro Bowler last week. He dropped 27 DK points like it was nothing, and it looks like he’s about to run it back. Unless we get any last-minute curveballs, Bennett should once again handle the majority (if not all) of the QB duties. He’s got some nice young weapons, and if he keeps picking on backups like he did last week, he’s an auto-click for me.
RUNNING BACKS
OLLIE GORDON | Dolphins at Jaguars | Dolphins -3 | O/U: 37.5
Ollie’s been putting on a clinic with 18 carries for 83 yards (4.6 YPC) and showing off his receiving chops too — 5 targets and 31 routes run so far. The dude’s resume screams “fantasy weapon,” and if he gets even half a game of run again, we could be looking at a slate-breaker. Dynasty and best ball folks are already catching on, and his ADP is climbing. If you’re ahead of the curve, this could be the week to take advantage.
D’ERNEST JOHNSON | Ravens vs. Commanders | Ravens -2.5 | O/U: 35.5
With Keaton Mitchell done for the preseason, it’s D’Ernest’s time to shine. He racked up 118 rushing yards on limited work and has also run 29 routes with 5 targets. He’s got experience, he’s got juice, and he’s got a roster spot to fight for. That’s a pretty spicy combo. With some added reps coming his way, D’Ernest has all the tools to quietly become one of the slate’s better values.
LEQUINT ALLEN | Jaguars vs. Dolphins | Dolphins -3 | O/U: 37.5
You know the drill — I’m always going to gravitate toward these pass-catching backs, and LeQuint Allen fits the bill perfectly. He snagged four catches last week and was this close to a score. With the Jags likely sitting their starters again, Allen could get a nice stretch of work against Miami. The volume’s there, the opportunity’s there, and if he finds the end zone, he pays off big.
WIDE RECEIVERS
TRE HARRIS | Chargers vs. 49ers | 49ers -2.5 | O/U: 37.5
Tre Harris is back in the conversation, and longtime readers know I’ve got a soft spot for this guy. A couple of years ago, he was my college football DFS WR call of the week (twice) and dropped 45+ DK points both times. He’s had a quieter preseason so far until last week, but with some confidence building and a bit more opportunity coming his way, I’m jumping on board now before everyone else catches up. Expect him to play with a chip on his shoulder this week, and hope his leaving practice on Wednesday with trainers wasn’t a big deal, so stay updated on the news.
JACKSON MEEKS | Lions vs. Texans | Lions -1.5 | O/U: 35.5
I’ll admit I was skeptical about Meeks after Week 1. But he’s torched the last two slates. We’re talking 12 targets, 11 catches, 176 yards, and 2 touchdowns. That’s not a fluke — that’s production. Meeks is still grinding for a roster spot, and I can’t imagine the Lions letting him walk after this. I expect another strong showing from him to close out the preseason. Let’s ride the hot hand.
MASON TIPTON | Saints vs. Broncos | Broncos -5.5 | O/U: 39.5
Mason’s been out there balling. He leads all WRs this preseason in yards per route run at 2.66 and could be in line for another high-usage game with the Saints likely resting most starters. The WR room is a little thin (hence the trade for Devaughn Vele), the game script sets up for plenty of opportunities, and the metrics are strong. He checks all the boxes. Let’s tip our cap to Tipton and get him in some lineups.
Remember, I’ll be hanging out in the #nfl-dfs Discord chat as @Darren a couple of hours before kickoff, ready to tackle your burning questions and help you finesse those last-minute lineup moves. Wishing you all the luck and excitement in the world as we dive into this preseason spectacle.
