Week 5 was the fourth straight strong week of #analysis, and I finally got rewarded with a little more luck than usual. Or did I?
Let’s take a look:
Close wins:
- I thought Malik Washington would catch 4 balls, and he did, but that’s all he did, and he tied me (and you) with 0 yards in Week 5.
Close loses:
- Daniel Jones was a LOCK to get +231 yards but was pulled before the fourth quarter, which cost me a 5-0 week for my top-5 props.
- I also got pinched with Michael Pittman, who was a good bet to get the 12 yards I needed if they played even 3.5 quarters.
- 12 yards shy of the Brenton Strange prop, but he was injured early and missed most of the game (now on IR). He was a very good bet to hit if healthy.
- Lost the Jayden Daniels rushing prop by 4 yards.
- I needed 9 more rushing yards from Cam Skattebo, and his big fumble didn’t help.
As for my wins, as usual they were all by comfortable margins. I’ll take a 20-7 week (74%) any day of the week, but it was really, really close to 25-2. But again; not complaining.
I am complaining (a little) about how Week 6 got started with TNF, since I lost the Cam Skattebo prop by 1 yard, and since the Eagles lost their top corner in the first half and also dropped two potential INTs, so I was basically 1 yard and 1 catch by a defender away from starting the week 4-1, or at least one yard shy of a winning night.
So now I’m perturbed again and ready to vow vengeance on the books for the rest of the week.
As always, these props are listed in order of priority/appeal. For analysis on the players listed (other than TNF), check out Hansen’s Hints, which will always be posted here on the site Saturday evening.**
