It’s your buddy Darren Manser, a.k.a. @BooBoojojo, and I’m super excited to dive into this weekend’s 2025 Week 2 Preseason action.

I know the NFL preseason can be a bit like a choose-your-own-adventure book, but I’ve got your back. If you’re an NFL Premium or All-In subscriber, join me over in the subscriber Discord’s #nfl-dfs channel a couple of hours before kickoff for some good ol’ fashioned Q&A. Trust me, that’s where the magic happens.
QUARTERBACKS
JOE BURROW | Bengals vs. Commanders | Bengals -4.5 | O/U: 42.5
I know recommending Joe Burrow isn’t exactly “galaxy brain” territory, but sometimes the best plays are the obvious ones. Burrow saw only limited action last week and still managed 120 yards and 2 TDs. This week, it looks like the Bengals plan to give their starters a longer leash — which likely means this is our last chance to get a taste of Joey B before the real season starts. And with him going up against mostly backups? That’s DFS gold, baby. Easy plug-and-play.
DILLON GABRIEL | Browns vs. Eagles | Eagles -3 | O/U: 40.5
With Shedeur Sanders banged up after his quality performance last week, the door swings open for Dillon Gabriel, who’s been itching for his shot. He’s back at practice this week after dealing with a hamstring issue, and all signs point to him suiting up. Dillon’s reportedly been ahead of Sanders all summer, and you know he’d love to reinforce that pecking order with a solid showing. Keep an eye on pregame reports, though — if Dillon can’t go, Tyler Huntley becomes a strong pivot as he’s likely to play the entire game.
#Browns Kevin Stefanski reiterates that Shedeur Sanders is "unlikely" to play in Saturday's preseason game.

He's not ready to decide if Dillon Gabriel will start, still working through the hamstring injury.
Could Snoop Huntley play the whole game?
"Everything's on the table."
HENDON HOOKER | Lions vs. Dolphins | Dolphins -3.5 | O/U:37.5
Forget the easy jokes… let’s talk business. Hendon hasn’t looked sharp lately and has surprisingly slipped behind Kyle Allen in the battle for QB2. But this could be the get-right game. If Hooker wants to secure the backup role, he needs a strong performance — and I think he knows it. He’s got decent dual-threat upside and could be a nice sneaky GPP play if he finds his groove.
RUNNING BACKS
OWEN WRIGHT | Bucs at Steelers | Bucs -2.5 | O/U: 40.5
18 carries in a preseason game? That’s RB1 energy. Owen Wright handled a serious workload last week and made the most of it, averaging 4.8 yards per carry and punching in a touchdown. Sure, Sean Tucker might have the name value, but Owen outperformed him in both volume and efficiency. If we can get that kind of work again at lower ownership? Sign me up for some Wright stuff.
KALEL MULLINGS | Titans vs. Falcons | Titans -5.5 | O/U: 38.5
With Tyjae Spears sidelined for the rest of the preseason (and possibly longer), Kalel Mullings gets a golden opportunity to show out. The big-bodied rookie (6’2”, 230 pounds) is in a battle with Julius Chestnut to lock down that RB3 role, and the reps are up for grabs. All reports out of Titans camp say Mullings has looked the part, and with a thinner depth chart, he could see an extended look.
DANTE “TURBO” MILLER | Giants vs. Jets | Giants -3 | O/U: 39.5
Yeah, his rushing stats were forgettable last week (22 yards on 10 carries), but don’t sleep on Turbo. The man caught 7 balls for 80 yards and looked electric in the passing game. With Cam Skattebo still sidelined, the backfield is shallow again, and Miller has a real shot to pile on more PPR goodness. Give me those sneaky PPR backs all day.
WIDE RECEIVERS
DYLAN DRUMMOND | Falcons vs. Titans | Titans 5.5 | O/U: 38.5
Revenge game, anyone? Drummond lit up his old team (the Lions) last week with a perfect 8-for-8 performance. He’s still grinding for a roster spot, and if he puts up even half of what he did last week, we’ll take it. Pairing him with Mullings gives us a sneaky mini-stack that could quietly do some damage.
EFTON CHISM | Patriots vs. Vikings | Patriots -2.5 | O/U: 40.5
Chism has been quietly putting together a really solid camp — and fans have taken notice. He hauled in 6 catches for 50 yards and a TD last week, and with Javon Baker missing Thursday’s practice, his snap count might climb even higher. Momentum + opportunity = solid value.
DARIUS COOPER | Eagles vs. Browns | Eagles -39.5 | O/U: 39.5
Cooper connected early and often with Tanner McKee last week, finishing with 6 grabs for 82 yards and a score. Now that Elijah Cooks is expected to sit, Cooper should get even more run. Anytime we can project increased snaps with proven chemistry? That’s DFS gold.
